Day 1

 

A warm welcome of the guest by the representative of OSCON Holidays at Cochin Airport upon arrival.  Transfer to the hotel with the escort of OSCON representative.  Day at Leisure. The children are taken care of by our well-trained staff, if the parents have to spend their own time at the pool side, massage parlor or anywhere else (optional facility).  Spend a splendid evening in a private boat watching sunset and the Cochin Port/Harbor area.  Or, watch a spectacular one-hour Kalaripayattu show, the traditional martial art form of Kerala – in a Kalari School.  Overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 2
Morning sightseeing in Cochin, the Queen of Arabian Sea, with the escort of an expert tour guide.  Cochin is a city of rich heritage.  Places like the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets and the Hill Palace Museum will certainly charm people who are interested to know more about the legacy of Kerala.  Afternoon, either go for a shopping or visit an exciting world-class amusement park.  Overnight in Cochin. 
Day 3
Morning drive to Munnar, one of the prominent hill stations in India with lush green landscape and perfect weather conditions.  The 3½ hour journey itself is fascinating riding through the picturesque hills jacketed in green tea and spice plantations.  Check-in at the hill side Resort with the assistance of a local guide.  The guide briefs you on the activities and facilities arranged in Munnar. Rest of the day at leisure.  Activities such as a soft trekking, cliff climbing or rope hanging are optional.  Overnight in Munnar. 
Day 4
Full day at Munnar. Activities include a visit to the Eravikulam National Park which is the habitat of endangered Nilgiri Tahr (duration 2hour).  Echo point where the children love to play around, Tea Museum where you know the interesting techniques of tea production and an exciting boating in Mattupetty Dam. Escort of a tour guide provided for all places. Overnight in Munnar. 
Day 5
Morning drive to Thekkady.  A scenic 3 hour drive from Munnar.  Check-in and lunch at the Resort which is designed in a plantation theme.  Look for exciting wildlife as you take a wonderful two hours Boat Safari in the lake of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary starting at 4pm.  Visit the spice market and purchase fresh spices economically.  Overnight in Thekkady. 
Day 6
After early breakfast, start by 8am for plantation tour as you get a one hour guided tour.  Hundreds of flower, spice and medicinal plants growing in these plantations will allure people of any age.  Drive down to Kumarakom.  Another charming drive of 4 hours.  By 2pm, check-in at a lakeside Resort.  Lunch at the Resort. Spend rest of the day relaxing at the lakeside or poolside.  Have some family fun while trying your hand at any of the ethnic activities arranged in the Resort such as coir making, pot making with clay, etc…Relish the one hour cultural activity arranged in the Resort premises in the evening.  Dinner at the Resort.  Overnight in Kumarakom. 
Day 7
After breakfast, go on a 2 hour village tour in a countryside of storybook beauty.  Know the life and lifestyle of the villagers closely.  Get back to the Resort by 11am and relax sometime before you checkout at 12noon.  Check-in into a premium Air-conditioned Houseboat (a luxury boat made in ethnic Kerala style having well appointed sitting room, bedrooms, toilet and kitchen) direct from the jetty of the Resort.  Relax as you watch the tranquil beauty of the inland waters and the countryside for one day.  Get a panoramic look at the pristine village life.  Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay on boat. 
Day 8
After a brief cruise and breakfast, check out from the Houseboat by 9:30am.  Transfer to Cochin Airport (2 hours journey) for the departure with memories of a lifetime.
